Hydrolysed Protein
Hydrolysed Protein is a new high tech protein powder that is high in protein and low in carbohydrates. It is normally Whey Protein that has been Hydrolysed (pre-digested) with the molecular structure broken into smaller peptide forms. This allows for instant absorption and bioavailability when you need the protein the most, which is straight after a gym session. This can be stacked with a carbohydrate powder and would be the ultimate post workout supplement.
WPI
WPI stands for Whey Protein Isolate. WPI is a high protein low carbohydrate powder that only takes around 25 – 45 minutes for your body to digest. This is another good option for a post workout powder because it absorbs quickly and if stacked with a carbohydrate powder, it would be another good post supplement.
WPC
WPC stands for Whey Protein Concentrate and takes longer for the body to digest and absorb, around 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. WPC has not gone through the extra filtering that WPI has thus the peptides are larger in size.
The benefits of WPC are:
- the growth factors it has
- it is cheaper
- and is still not too high in carbohydrates either.
Blends
Blends are a complex of items in one product. For example International Protein’s EXTREME MASS is a protein and carbohydrate blend.

Micellar Casein
This a cheaper Protein source that is used in meal replacing protein powders as it clumps together once absorbed and has the effect of making you feel full. It has a slight bitter taste and flavouring is needed, unless you are purchasing it already in a blend.
Weight Gainers
Weight Gainers is our selection of products that are designed to put weight on you. Mass Gainers can help you fill out if you struggle putting on weight, support muscle growth and to help put on lean muscle mass. These are important even if you’re on a Kcalorie (Kilocalorie or 1000 calories) restricted diet but are still chasing lean muscle mass and size.
Meal Replacers
These are designed to make you feel full, suppress your appetite and yet still give your body protein for your basic body metabolism. Some also have minerals and vitamins which are beneficial for growth and sustainability. These products are taken if you’re:
